Major league pitcher Roy Parmelee won at least ten games a season four different times. His best season was probably 1933, when he was in the top 10 in his league in win-loss percent, hits per nine innings, strikeouts AND strikeouts per nine innings, games started, shutouts, and strikeout to walk ratio. On July 2, 1933, Parmelee beat Hall of Famer Dizzy Dean one to nothing. On July 17, 1934, Parmelee hit a game-winning grand slam. On April 29, 1936, Parmelee beat Hall of Famer Carl Hubbell two to one in a seventeen-inning marathon.
