He is the son of Pelatiah Webster Sr. and Joanna Smith. He was born May 06, 1735 in Greenwich, Wocester Co., Massachusetts and died in 1816 in Bennington, Licking Co., Ohio. His wife was born June 28, 1743 in Greenwich, Wocester Co., Massachusetts and died September 1835 in Berkshire, Delaware Co., Ohio. They are the parents of 11 children. Oliver Webster served in the French and Indian War under Capt. Edmond Wells Co., as a private from April 9 to May 07, 1756. He was a Corporal of CT. Troops. He served in the Revolutionary War for eight months in Capt. John Mc Greiger's Co. , Colonel John Durkees Reg. CT. Line. At New Haven, CT. He was also enlisted from August 26, 1779 and was discharged on January 15, 1780.
