He is the son of Jean Marquand and Matha Jouanne. He is born on December 02, 1794 in Guersey, Channel Islands, France and died January 21, 1839 in Conesville, Coshocton, Ohio. Husband of Martha Parker, he married her on March 19, 1819 in Conesville, Coshocton Co., Ohio. He and his wife are the parents of 9 children. He came to America Abt. 1806. There is come conflict to John Marquand's parantage. Some genealogy sources give his parents as Jean Marquand and Caroline Langlois.
