Son of Daniel Reid and Margaret Patterson. Adam was born Rockbridge Co., Virginia and died in Preble County, Ohio. He married Hannah Buchanan in Rockbridge Co., VA 29 Oct 1805 and they arrived in Preble County, Ohio in 1810 as did some of Adam's brothers. Hannah passed away and Adam married a widow named Elisabeth Hutton. Children with Hannah: Hannah, William Buchanan, Daniel, Adam, and John. Children with Elisabeth: Rebecca, Michael H., Margaret L., Ross, Mary F., Elizabeth, and Mary Polly.
