"James T. Faries May 15, 1832 Mar. 1, 1879 His Wife Susan R. Faries Aug. 30, 1836 Jan. 26, 1926". James Taylor Faries served in the 23rd Virginia Infantry (CSA). He was a son of Coleman and Elizabeth West Faries. Susan Rachel Sams Faries was a daughter of James and Permelia Caville Sams.
