Earl was born Apr 6, 1897 in Syracuse, Meigs, Ohio, and died May 13, 1978 in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio. S/O Thomas Parker (B:1871-OH), and Effie M Zerckel (B:1875-WV). He was the eldest and only son. His sisters included: Euna (Una) (1898-1984), Eureka (1900-1909), and Edyth (Edith) (1901-1979).

Jessie was born Sep 13, 1904 in Buchtel, Athens, Ohio, and died Jan 15, 1967 in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio. D/O Lewis Ramsey Staten (1873-1918), and Mary Susan Bolen (1878-1954). Her siblings included: Bessie, Verna, Zella, Gladys, Wilma, Mary, and Lugene.

Earl was in the U.S. Army National Guard and was called to active duty in May 1917. He was promoted to Corporal. He served in Meuse-Argonne Campaign. It was also known as The Battle of the Argonne Forest. It was part of the final Allied offensive of World War I. He was honorably discharged on Apr 12, 1919.

Earl was first married to Nellie Frances Persinger about 1919 in Mason, West Virginia. They had a daughter, Wanda L Parker (1920-1987).

Earl V Parker and Jessie Staten were married Jun 20, 1923 in Franklin County, Ohio. Their children included: Louis (Louie) Thomas Parker (1924-1990), Donald Earl Parker (1925-1995), and Merle Metta Parker (1927-2001).

Earl worked for the railroad and then worked for (and retired from) the Holland Furnace Company. When the children were in their teens, Jessie helped to support the family as a table worker at a shoe manufacturing Co.
