Lillian Cantrell, Milldale Road, Scioto County, Ohio, died on 31 Oct 1953 in the Paintsville, Ky., home of her daughter Mrs. P.H. (Mildred) Childers. Mrs. Cantrell, who had been ill for eight months, had been living with her daughter for two months. Death was attributed to complications from a cerebral hemorrhage. She was born 01 May 1893 in Lewis County, Ky., a daughter of Riley Wolfe and Florence Webb Wolfe. Mrs. Cantrell was the widow of Henry Cantrell. (Her obituary says Mr. Cantrell died in 1935 but there is a Portsmouth Times obituary for him on 03 March 1936. He died on 02 March 1936.) She was a member of the Milldale Baptist Church. Survivors included three sons, Carl, Henry and James of Milldale Road; three daughters, Mrs. Childers, Mrs. Talmadge Todd of Milldale Road, and Mrs. C. L. Clemmens of Jamestown, Ohio; three brothers, Jake and Esau Wolfe of Rushtown, Ohio, and James Wolf of McDermott, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. B. H. Shultz, Portsmouth, Mrs. Agnes Fitch, New Boston, Ohio, and Mrs. George Bishop of Twin Valley, Ohio; and 15 grandchildren. The Rev. Elmer Noel officiated at the funeral at the Milldale Road Church of Christ in Christian Union and the burial in Milldale Road Cemetery.
