Wacław died in Chicago, Illinois. He resided in Toledo on Collingwood Blvd. and was a retired Polish-language journalist and was the president and editor-in-chief of the Ameryka-Echo in Toledo in the 1950s. He moved to Chicago after the Ameryka-Echo ceased publication in Toledo.

Additionally, Mr. Gawronski was a founder of the Polish Arts Club of Toledo. He held a doctor of law degree from King John Casimer University of Lwow, Poland.

Before moving to Toledo, Mr. Gawronski was consul of the Republic of Poland in France and consul general in Berlin and Chicago. He moved to Toledo in 1939.

Zofia was Mr. Gawronski's first wife. A second wife, Halina, survived him.

The stone had not been updated to reflect the date of death for Wacław. Burial was verified via Calvary Cemetery burial logs and obituary published in the Toledo Blade on March 27, 1979.
