Born 21 Oct 1819, Franklin Co, PA, son of Alexander McCleary and Elizabeth McCormick; died 20 Mar 1873 at his home in Mifflin Twp, Wyandot Co, Ohio. Robert married first to Mary Marshall b. 1821 PA and they had a son and two daughters; then 26 Jul 1860 he married Jane Isabella Kees (1844-1897) in Wyandot Co, and they had two daughters. Robert owned the general store in Brownstown, Wyandot Co, Ohio. This was probably the last burial in Peters Cemetery.
Script on tombstone as transcribed by Flora B. Sammet:
"Farewell my wife and children all
From you a husband, a father, Christ hath call
Mourn not for me it is in vain
To call me to your sight again.
Go home dear wife and dry your tears
I must lie here till Christ appears,
