Christiansburg--James R Beatty, 71, St. Paris route two, died Sunday morning in Piqua Memorial Hospital where he had been hospitalized 18 days. He had been ill four weeks.
Services for Beatty, a retired framer who lived in Champaign County all of his life, will be held Wednesday at 2 pm in the Baker Funeral home, St. Paris. The Rev. Myron Ketron of the EUB Church, Rosewood, will officiate
Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery.
Beatty was born in Concord Township, Oct. 16, 1888 to John and Phoebe Neal Beatty.
He was married April 29, 1902 to the former Nellie Buroker, who survives with one son Paul of DeGraff route two; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One daughter, Pauline, preceded him in death
