WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. – William "Eugene" Burden of White House, Tenn., formerly of Cable, Ohio, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 21, 2015, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Eugene was born July 20, 1964, in Urbana, Ohio, the son of James Eugene and Helen Louise (Bush) Burden. He was a 1982 graduate of Triad High School. Eugene enjoyed going on vacation, watching his grand kids play sports, playing poker, coaching and watching softball. He was an avid Triad Cardinal and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with his family and friends. Eugene was a very loving and selfless man who loved life and would do anything for anyone, especially his wife Carolyn whom he adored. The love that he had for his wife is something that we can all hold onto forever.
Eugene is survived by his wife Carolyn (Martin) Burden whom he married on March 1, 1986; father James Burden; daughters, Dawndee (Mike) Zizzo of Cable, Nickee Boldman of North Lewisburg, Natasha (Chad) Walters of Urbana, Cierra Shiyenne, Bethanee Jean, and Kimora Jean Burden, of White House, Tenn.; sons Nathan (Emily Thomas) Boldman of Cable, Ohio, Mark Anthony and Cameron James Burden of White House, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren, Dezria Ballinger, Zack Zizzo, Kiki Zizzo, Damian Boldman, Jordan Boldman, Gavin Boldman, Kaylyn Boldman, Will Walters, Kayleigh Boldman, Blake Boldman, Skyla Plank, Baylie Plank and Izzy Fisher; great-grandchildren Avalyn Grace and Baby Ballinger; brother Jaimey (Rachel) Burden of Marion; sisters Vickey (Frank) Sibole of Springfield, Darlene Byrd Jackson of Cable, Sherrie (Rich) Boutell of Urbana, Christina Wells of Cable, Patty (Doug Bressler) Burden of Marysville; father and mother-in-law Fred and Lola Martin; brother-in-law, Gray Jessup; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Burden; sisters Bonita Wood, Vickie Jessup; nephew Scott Byrd; niece Nikki Souders; brothers-in-law Gary Byrd, Steve Jackson and Ed Wells.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday May 26, 2015, in the FRESHWATER, MCDONAD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, North Lewisburg
Funeral services to celebrate Eugene's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday May 27, 2015, in the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Mark Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Urbana.
