URBANA - Raymond J. Ball, age 83, of Urbana and formerly of Saint Paris, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10 p.m. in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana.
Born on January 13, 1932 in Quincy, Ohio, Raymond was a son of the late Albert Raymond and Lela Goldie (Fry) Ball. He is survived by his wife, Callie (Gamble) Ball, whom he married on February 1, 1998. Additional survivors include his two daughters, Linda and Doris; stepchildren, Wanda, Karen, Selma, Tina, Linda and Clifford; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne Ball, and a brother.
Raymond was a 1950 graduate of Quincy High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He attended Elm Tree Baptist Church, Christiansburg, OH and retired from Quincy Castle, Sidney, OH.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the ATKINS-SHIVELY FUNERAL HOME, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with military honors by the Veterans
