James Richard "Dick" Davis, 71, of Urbana, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Ohio State University Hospital, Wexner Medical Center, Columbus following a 20-year battle with heart disease.
He was born September 24, 1944 in Piqua, Ohio to James William and Thelma Grace (Wirick) Davis.
Dick was a 1963 graduate of Graham High School.
He retired from Neenah Paper Mill Shipping Department in April 2008.
Dick was a lifetime member of the American Motorcyclist Association and enjoyed camping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis (Moats) Davis, his sister, Linda Fitzgerald of St. Paris and brother Robert Davis of St. Paris and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Kermit Davis of Rhode Island.
VERNON FUNERAL HOME will be caring for the needs of the family.
Burial will be in Terre Haute Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
