Staunton was later renamed Ripley in honor of General Ripley an officer in the war of 1812
James was married to Mary (maiden name unknown) and together they had the following children John,JAMES,ROBERT,THOMAS,GEORGE,PATSY,ELIZABETH AND POLLY
