Alma Jean Mendeline Kirkendall was born in Akron, Ohio on July 15, 1919 to Nora Ellen Speraw and Mandell Churchill Kirkendall. She married a Marion Ross who died in Germany during WWII and then married Merlyn Edgar Adams. She died in Columbus, Ohio on December 1, 1986.
