This tombstone is very difficult to read. It looks more like 1854 than 1855 but there was the following notice in a Meigs Co. Newspaper and I don't think they would have waited a whole year before placing this in the paper.

JOHN STEPHENSON'S ESTATE ---- Notice is hereby given that the subscribers have been appointed and qualified as Administrators of the estate of John Stephenson; late of Meigs County, deceased. Dated at Pomeroy, this 7th day of December, 1855. Ann Stephenson and W. Stivers
