Death Certificate - born in Ohio 7 Mar 1865 to Samuel R. Cottrell and Phiby[sic] Ahouse [this should be Phebe Hayhurst]. Died from heart disease 11 March 1912 in Sutton Twp., Meigs Co., Ohio.
Married Rebecca Woodruff 23 Dec 1889. Father of three children: Mary Larzina "Vazie",Jonah Rush, [my grandfather], and Flora Alice.
Samuel's full name was Samuel Rush Cotterill
Samuel Rush Cotterill's father, Samuel R. Cottrell, was born in Harrison Co. WV abt 1818. He died between 11 Jan 1888 - 04 Mar 1894 in Ritchie Co. WV or Kanawha Co. WV. His parents were William Cottrell born in MD and Rachel Hughes born in WV.
