As you can see there are no tombstones standing in this cemetery located in Scipio Twp. The 2 cemeteries, French and Huggins, are about 50 feet apart from each other. French Cemetery is mostly destroyed as well. Both cemeteries are abandoned with many sunken graves and missing tombstones.
Russell & Eunice French originally owned the land. The French family were pioneers of Scipio Twp. The land was also owned by William Dye and family. Later Harold Graham bought the land from the Gibson’s and in 2007 sold it to the Amish.
