Levin was one of the first judges of the Monroe County, OH, Court of Common Pleas and a soldier in the U.S. Revolution. His mother Elizabeth and his wife Esther (Hazzard) are also buried in this cemetery. He came with his family and mother from Lewistown (or Lewes), Sussex County, Delaware, in the spring of 1800 and settled near Captina Creek in Belmont County, Ohio.
