Signage view ST PETERS CEMETERY

St. Peter's -- Marlboro Twp Cemetery
Stark County,
Ohio

This sign marks the historic location of St. Peter's Church and its adjoining cemetery.

A progression of church buildings existed at this location. All that remains now is the foundation outline in the grass growing above it, the flat area directly behind this sign. These grounds originally supported a Quaker log church, followed by St Peter's Church, built by the German Lutherans and German Reformers, circa 1820. The latter was rebuilt in the 1870's and stood until fire claimed it in 1940.

The cemetery and church site are located along the northern side of St Peters Church Road, 1/10 mile west of the intersection with Beeson Street, Marlboro Township, Stark County, OH.

GPS coordinates are Lat. 40° 55' 20.5" North and Long. 81° 15' 45.5" West.
