Charles August Diefenbach was born in Laufenselden, Germany, on January 5, 1846, and died in York Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, on June 3, 1916. Magdalena (Winkler) Diefenbach was born in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, on May 20, 1851, and died in New Philadelphia, Ohio, January 24, 1932. Charles and Magdalena were married in Tuscarawas County on June 18, 1874.
