This is Peter Wickerham I. I believe the family name may have been Wickersham but was Americanized to Wickerham. He was born in Pennsylvania and fought in the Revolution. He and his brother-in-law, Peter Platter, came to Ohio with their families on a flatboat around 1799-1800. Peter Wickerham built what is purported to be the first brick building in Adams County - the Wickerham Inn. The building is still standing and is a private residence.
