Christian Wenger: Born July 9, 1819, and died November 9, 1895
Christian Wenger was born in Obergurzelen, Bern, Switzerland. His parents were Niklaus Wenger and Maria (Bronnimann) Wenger. On October 11, 1839, Christian married Magdalena Huber in Gurzelen, Switzerland. They immigrated to the United States in 1854, arriving in New York on December 20, and settling in York Township. Christian was a school teacher and also a farmer. Christian and Magdalena were active members of the Jerusalem Reformed Church.
