Lawrence was the 3rd-born of 5 known children of Robert Parker Augustus and Mary Eliza Mustard; he was born 26 Feb 1900 in Wayne Twp., Fayette Co., Ohio, the son of a farmer; he married Hilda Francis Dillon on 5 July, 1917, in her hometown of Washington Court House, Fayette Co., Ohio; together, they had 3 known children; in 1939, they resided at 1566 Prospect St., Sprinfield, Clark Co., Ohio, and he worked on the assembly line of International Harvestor; he died 26 May 1977 in Springfield, Clark Co., Ohio. He was a grandson of Thomas D. Augustus, who died as a Prisoner of War, at the Andersonville Prison, Sumpter Co., Georgia, in 1864.
