PENDERGAST Walter Pendergast, age 90, passed away August 11, 2000 at Doctor's Hospital West. U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, where he served in the 101 Airborne Division. Retired Teamster of Local 413. Preceded in death by grandson, AJ Herdman. Survived by wife, Ruth; daughters, Diane (Bill) Capretta, Sharon (Jay) Wilson; granddaughter, Lorrie R. Herdman; great-granddaughter, Kendall P. Capretta; sister, Gertrude Lynch; cousin, Jim Pendergast, nieces and nephews. Friends may call JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday. Rev. Scott Drummond officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.

PENDERGAST Ruth Pendergast, age 82, passed away at her residence March 17, 2003. Served as a Evangelist to many, was employed with Atlantic-Pacific for many years. Preceded in death by husband Walter, grandson A.J. Survived by daughters, Sharon (Jay) Wilson of Columbus, Diane (Bill) Capretta of Ashville; grandchildren, Lorrie Herdman, Rudy Martinez, Richard Wilson, Chris (Nicole) Capretta, John (Billie) Capretta; sisters, Elsie Matzenbacker of Ill.; nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where service will be held Saturday 11 a.m. Pastor Teresa McNamara officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. The family wishes to greatfully acknowledge Mt. Carmel Medical Center Hospice and suggest any contributions be directed to them in memory of Ruth.
