(MOTHER) Ruby was born Sep 15, 1907 in Atlanta, Georgia, and died Jan 26, 1990 in Columbus, Franklin, Ohio. D/O Cicero Gibson and Amdine Manney. She married Bruce Albert Woods on Apr 28, 1924 in Franklin County, Ohio. He was born in 1898 in Birmingham, Alabama. (S/O Charlie Woods and Mary Banks), and died in 1974.(He was also buried at Green Lawn Cemetery). Their children included: Mary, (B:1925-MI), Bruce (B:1927-MI), CLIFFORD (B:1929-OH), Florence, (B:1932-MI), and James (B:1933-OH).

Deceased Name: Clifford "Cliff" L. Woods

WOODS Clifford "Cliff" L. Woods, age 73, passed away Monday, February 24, 2003 at Wexner Heritage Village. He was a U.S. Army veteran and faithful member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Trustee Board. Cliff retired from Chemical Abstract, where he was a Maintenance Supervisor. He was also a member of the Ohio State University Redcoats. Preceded in death by parents Bruce and Ruby Woods, son Gerald Pearce, and brother James Woods. Survived by daughter, Sheila Woods; granddaughters, Ciera and Brittany Bowers; brothers, Bruce and Nathaniel Woods; sisters, Mary Steele, Florence Clemons, Janet Rieves, Sharon and Theresa Woods, all of Columbus; along with special friend, Nathaniel Towns; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service 7 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2003 at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 26 North 21st Street. Dr. Elon Meeks officiating. Mr. Woods will lie in state Friday 12-3 p.m. at DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street and after 4 p.m. at the church with family present to receive friends from 5 p.m. until start of service. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery.
