Abraham C. Shimmaly
Died in an auto accident on May 24, 1940. Was active in various Syrian clubs of the city and was well known in amateur dramatic circles. He held offices in several clubs, including that of president of a Holy Name Society organized for the Syrian young men of the Catholic Melkite Mission. Appeared in amateur plays given to raise funds for various reliefs and charities.
Waite High School 1930 graduate, was president of Sigma Alpha Phi Fraternity and a member of the Zahle Society. Employed steward at the Hotel Secor for five years.
