Alfredo was born Feb 13, 1881 in Santiago, Chile, and died Nov 15, 1934 in Trinadad Island. S/O Isaac N Demorest and Lydia E Morris. Both parents were born in Ohio, so though Alfredo was born in Chile, he was an American at birth.

From 1910 to 1917 the family was living in Wilmington, Delaware. Isaac was noted as a Dentist, and Alfredo was listed as an artist.

In 1918 Alfredo applied for a passport while living in Wilmington, Delaware. In 1920 the family was living in Washington, D.C. Alfredo was somehow involved with the State Depatment specilizing with "South America".
In 1921, his father, Isaac N Demorest died and was buried at Green Lawn Cemetery.
In 1930 Alfredo was working for the United States Consular Service. He and his mother, Lydia were living in Trinidad, British West Indies.

VICE CONSUL DIES - The State Department today was advised of the death of Alfredo L. Demorest; American Vice Consul at Trinadad Island, who died at his post.
