BOHLMANN Richard Philip Bohlmann, age 75, born December 21, 1918 passed away April 9,2004 after a valiant struggle with cancer. He was born in Boggs Run, West Virginia. Graduated from Capital University in 1950, and served in the United State Army from 1951 to 1953. He was owner and operator of Interior Restorations Etc. in Columbus from 1977 to 2003. Prior to that he was a sales representative for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals for 20 years, and taught science at Bloom-Carroll High School for three years. As an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, Richard served on church council, participated in the Men's prayer group and was a faithful usher. He was past president of the Scioto Ford Club, a member of Central Ohio Buick Club and the Packard Club, and was a former member of The Columbus Maennerchor. An avid hobbyist, Richard built beautiful Tiffany Lamps, did woodworking, restored antique cars and was a model railroad collector. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of 51 years; three children, Carol (Kevin) Spatz, Fred (Lisa) Bohlmann and John (Donna) Bohlmann; grandchildren, Philip and Elizabeth Spatz, Garrett Bohlmann, and Marshall, Jared and Olivia Bohlmann; his sister Alice (Charles) Mason; and his sister-in-law Norma Bohlmann; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave. Funeral service Tuesday 10 a.m. Faith Lutheran Church 730 Collingwood Ave. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grant/Riverside Hospice or Faith Lutheran Church.
