Pastor emeritus of St. Ann's Parish. Was born in Tiffin, Ohio. Attended St. Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore. Was ordained in St. John's Cathedral in Cleveland, his first assignment was to St. John's parish in Delphos, Ohio. Was pastor at St. Ignatius in Toledo and then became pastor of St. Ann's parish in 1912.
Well-published author who began writing as a student at St. Mary's Seminary. Wrote the "Life of St. Gerlach" as a theology student and revised it 50 years later. Other books authored by Father Houck included "Our Palace Wonderful," "Fountains of Joy," and "Man's Triumph With God in Christ."
