Reverend John A. Urbanski
1891 - 1946
Born March 12, 1891 in Szadolwice, Posnen, Poland to Anthony and Anna Urbanski. The family emigrated to the US when Fr. Urbanski was a year old. Was educated at St. Hedwig's parish and conducted his theological studies at Orchard Lake in Michigan and St. Mary's Seminary in Cincinnati, and was ordained June 17, 1916. Fr. Urbanski's appointments included St. Stanislaus, St. Anthony, and St. Hedwig parishes prior to his appointment as pastor of Nativity parish. He was also appointed to the Diocesan School Board of Toledo as well as to the Fiscal Control Board of Central Catholic High School.
