Death: Jun. 15, 1944, France
Rudy enlisted in the Army at Fort Hayes, Columbus, OH on 13 October 1942.
Pvt Plaskur volunteered for parachutist duty and was assigned to Company A of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment.
He parachuted into Normandy, France on 6 June 1944 and was killed in action 9 days later.
Pfc Plaskur was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) posthumously.
