Private, Company L, 21st PA Cavalry. Born in Alsace-Loraine, France and emigrated to the United States in 1839. Lived in Chambersburg, PA and moved with his son to Canal Fulton, Stark County, Ohio. Entered the Dayton Soldiers Home in August 1878 and died one year later.
