S/O Christopher Elias Shoemaker Jr. (1820-1891), and Sarah Ann Belknap (1825-1901). On Oct 9, 1877 he married Cynthia Elizabeth Green in Franklin County, Ohio. (She was born Aug 29, 1850, and died Oct 24, 1914). Their children included: Sylvester, Clifford, Eva, Florence, and Rosella.
Stella and Devoice were siblings. Their other siblings included: Elias Fassett, Lemira Ann, Mary Roselle, Seth S, Franklin Pierce, Eva Leona, William Dalton, Charles, and Ruth Ambretta.
