The grave of my Great Grandfather Charles Henry Younger JR. Born 1 Jan 1843 in Pomeroy, Ohio. At the beginning of the Civil War he and his father joined Co E, 9th Regiment Virginia Volunteer Infantry. He was wounded three separate times and imprisoned in Andersonville, Ga the last time. He died 15 Aug 1932 in Gallapolis, Ohio.
Married four times, he served 16 years of a life sentence for the murder of his first wife, he was suspected in the disappearance of his 2nd wife, my Great Grandmother was his third wife, marriage ended by divorce and he then married a 4th time. No children in 1st marriage, no children in 2nd marriage, 3 sons in 3rd marriage, 8 girls/1 son in 4th marriage.
He is in the right rear corner area of the "Old Pine St Cemetery" in downtown Gallapolis. The stone has sunk abt 1~1 1/2 ft into the ground. His coffin was wood so I suspect it has caved in over the passage of time.
