John Amos Bevens, the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Bevens of Lakeside, New Boston, Scioto County, Ohio, died 02 May 1923. Joint funeral services were held for John and Amos Frederick Wilborn and Lucy Wilburn, children of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilburn. The three children died of "pneumonia, following measles. A brief service was held at the home where the families live and burial was in School Land Hollow cemetery. Rev. Pearl Hughes of the Immanuel Baptist Church New Boston officiated. The Wilburn children were buried in the same grave and the Bevens child just a few feet away in the hillside burial grounds."
School Land Hollow Cemetery is also known as Milldale Cemetery.
