John Henry Cooper, four-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Cooper of Rhodes Ave., New Boston, Ohio, died on 29 March 1910. A news article published Saturday, 02 April, said the boy died early Tuesday morning. “The child died of measles and as both the parents and all of the other six children are bedfast with measles it was some time that the child’s death became known in the neighborhood. An undertaker was not called until 5 p.m. The family are poor, coming to New Boston from Lewis county, Ky., last December.
