Dora Gibson Rigsby, 21, died on 25 Sep 1926 in her Portsmouth, Ohio, home after a yearlong illness. The cause of death was tuberculosis.

Mrs. Rigsby was born in Kentucky, a daughter of Charles Gibson and wife Maude Barker Gibson. According to Mrs. Rigsby's obituary, she “came to Portsmouth with her parents at an early age and had been a resident here ever since. She leaves a host of friends to mourn her death.” The 1920 census for Greenup County, Ky., lists Dora, 14, living with her parents and brothers Floyd, David and Denver.

In addition to her parents, she was survived by her husband Lindsey (Lenzy) Rigsby, and four brothers, Floyd, David, Denver and Earl Gibson, all at home.

Mrs. Rigsby was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Scioto County, Ohio.
