Richard Trotter, son of Robert and Nancy (Murphy), Irish immigrants,
was born in Waddington, NY, 1825, moved to Washington Co. in 1840, and served in the 148th Ohio Infantry, during the Civil War. He died near Layman 1901. Caroline Trotter, daughter of Horace and Jane (Bishop)Dunsmoor, was born in Washington Co., OH, 1828, and died near Layman 1891.
