Christian Deardorff was the founder of Dover, Ohio in 1807. He was a son of Isaac D. & Salome Sarah (Newcomer) Deardorff. He married Margaret R. "Peggy" Butt on December 17, 1817 in Tuscarawas County, OH. They had eight children.
