Melvia Ratliff. 92 of Urbana at 9:20 am Friday in the McAuley Center.
She was born March 14 1891 in Urbana a daughter of Samuel S and Jennie
Stokes. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church,Springfield
Survivors include her husband Fred.
A son George Bowen of California preceded her in death
Funeral services will be held Tuesday in the Walter Funeral Home with the Rev Brad Davis in charge. Burial will be in Grandview
Cemetery Urbana

Fred Ratliff, 93. of 29, Urbana, died at 12:15 a m. Friday
in McAuley Center.
A resident here since 1967, he was born in Putnam County, Ohio, Jan.
13, 1893, a son of Granville and Margaret (Harris) Ratliff He was a
member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Springfield. He was a
retired stone and brick mason.
Surviving are three nieces,Margaret Gilbert and Georgia Prowant both of Continental, Ohio and Sarah Marie Styers of Springfield, two nephews, Charles Kreitz of Texas and Harold Goode of Urbana His wife, Melvia died in May. 1965
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 30 a m Monday by Rev Brad
Davis of Springfield in the Walter Funeral Home
Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery
