James was the Finance Director for the City of Toledo Division of Poor Relief. He was born in Rensselear, New York and resided in Toledo for 14 years prior to his death. Previous to his position with the City of Toledo, he was Assistant to the Works Manager of Willys-Overland Motors, Inc., the predecessor to today's Jeep plant. James was the son of John and Susan Mullaney.
Esther was born in Toronto, Canada.
