Daniel B. Roberts, age 78, of Troy passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. in Fairborn. Born on December 16, 1935 in Campton, KY, Dan was a son of the late Columbus E. and Alpha (Bailey) Roberts. He married Regina Mohler on October 30, 1959 and she preceded him in death in 2002. Dan is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Rhea and Doug Kirk and Dee and Bill Meyer, all of Troy, OH. He was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren: Justin Kirk of Tuscon, AZ; Katrina (Ryan) Miller of Lapel, IN; Sarah (Travis) Kerg, Troy, OH; Jason (Lauren) Meyer, Springboro, OH; Matthew Meyer of Dayton, OH; and two great grandchildren, Cali and Mason. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son, four brothers and three sisters. Daniel was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Middleton, OH and served in the U.S.A.F. for six years. He was awarded the honor of Kentucky Colonel. He was retired as a manager from General Motors, Vandalia, OH. Daniel was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Funeral services will be held in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Fletcher, Ohio on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Jason Egbert of Lostcreek Church of Christ presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
