Douglas Riley Russell, 73, of Piqua, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002 in his residence. He was born March 28, 1929 in Troy, the son of the late Clarence Lee and Maude (Schunck) Russell. He married Jeannette Leiberick on Jan. 17, 1953 and she survives. He is also survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Frank Garfoot of Piqua; one son and daughter-in-law; Michael and Rose Ella Russell of Piqua; one brother, Jerry Russell of Troy; and special nephew and wife, Riley and Thaleia Maher of Piqua; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, six brothers and four sisters preceded him. Douglas was a member of God's Tabernacle of Bradford, a veteran who served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and he retired in 1991 from Dinner Bell Foods of Troy. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24 in God's Tabernacle, Bradford, with Sr. Pastor Levi Whisner presiding. Friends and family call from 4-8 p.m. today at Suber Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher
