Amy O. Huff, 87, of Fletcher, died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at 6:30 a.m. in her residence. She was born in Rock Castle County, Ky. on Jan. 1,1919, the daughter of the late Bronce and Ninnie (Callahan) Powell.
She will be missed by her husband of 72 years, Ernest Edward Huff, whom she married Dec. 24, 1933, in Conway, Ky.
Amy was a member of the Baptist faith, a homemaker and loving mother who raised 10 children.
She is survived by nine children and their spouses, Ellis and Shirley Huff of Lexington, Ky., Kenneth Huff of Punta Gorda, Fla., Betty and Frank DeLoye of Fort Loramie, Gene and Carol Huff of Piqua, Dee and Dixie Huff of Piqua, Bernice and Richard Wion of Minster, Darlene and Terry Cheadle of West Milton, Dan and Nicki Huff of Bradford, and Dale and Belinda Huff of Fletcher.
Amy had a total of 99 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She also is survived by two sisters, Floy Mae Bolin of Huber Heights and Eileen Rank of Piqua; a brother and sister-in-law, Amon and Betty Powell of Christiansburg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debra June Huff; one grandchild; two great¬grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Fletcher with Pastor Gary A. Wagner Jr. of the United Pentecostal Church in Piqua and Pastor Kenneth Douglas Huff, a grandson from Tennessee presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
