James Harrison Cruse, 64, of Piqua, passed away on Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, in his residence. He was born on March 30, 1939, in Piqua, the son of the late John Luthern Cruse Sr. and Lucille (Kinsella) Cruse who survives. He married Alberta Hawkins on Sept. 30, 1961 and she survives. Jim also is survived by three children, Cindy (Kenny) Garland of Lockington, James H. (Bobbie) Cruse, Jr. of Piqua; and Roxanne (Ralph) Wmtrow of Piqua; and eight grandchildren. He is survived by two brothers and sisters in law, John (Judy) Cruse, II of Bradford and Dave (Carol) Cruse of Springboro; and two sisters, Sandy Cruse of Piqua and Debbie McNeal of Pleasant Hill. Jim was preceded in death by his father and two sisters; Mary Helbing and Patricia Drees. Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956-1961. He was engaged in farming all of his life. He was a former member of Union Baptist Church, Troy. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, in Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, in the funeral home with the Rev. Bonita Wood presiding. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be presented by VFW Post 4874. Memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association-Western Ohio, 1810 MacKenzie Drive, Suite 120, Columbus 43220. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
