Robert L. Davis, 82, of Piqua, passed away at 1 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015, in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
Born on Feb. 16, 1933, in Troy, Ohio, Robert was a son of the late George W. and Josephine (Swigart) Davis. He married Miriam V. Musser on June 25, 1955, and she survives. Together they raised three children: Bryan (Inge) Davis of Fletcher, Larry (Sue) Davis of Fletcher, and Darrell (Shelly) Davis of Casstown. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild. He is also survived by a sister, Evelyn (Leroy) Snipes of Christiansburg, three brothers; Eugene (Shirley) Davis of Conover, Bill (Lois) Davis of Casstown, and Danny (Linda) Davis of Covington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Davis.
Robert was a 1951 graduate of Lostcreek High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army from May 1, 1953, until April 9, 1955. He was formerly employed by Hobart Corp., Troy, Ohio, and was engaged in farming. He was a member of American Legion Post 184, Piqua.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 10 a.m. in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, Ohio. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher, Ohio.
