FLORENCE ARLENE SEITZ, born on September 1, 1926, in Mt. Alto, PA, went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2015. In life, she passionately loved Jesus, His Word and her family. She loved her many friends and especially her church family. Arlene always had a smile and kind words for everyone. She appreciated the many calls, visits, cards and prayers from loved ones and friends.

First and foremost she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. By faith she was a prayer warrior, intercessor and along with her beloved friend, Marguerite Gunnel, visited countless people over the years. By profession, Arlene had been a Social Worker at Downey Veteran’s Hospital in Illinois and a State Hospital in Missouri. Upon moving to Sidney, she became an L.D. tutor with the Sidney Schools where she had a positive influence on her many students. Arlene, along with others, was instrumental in establishing Christian Academy Schools in Sidney. In every community she lived, Arlene found joy in serving others.

Arlene is survived by daughters, Diane L. Adams, of TN, Ellen K. Gates and husband David W. Gates, of Sidney, Linda M. Winkler and husband Peter J. Winkler, of Sidney and son, Karl S. Seitz, of Wheatridge, CO.

Arlene is also survived by grandchildren, Elizabeth “Libby” Mullen, of St. Louis, MO< Stephanie Bivens, of Gallatin, TN, Uriah Seitz, of Paonia, CO, Jackson Seitz, of Richmond, IN, and Rachael Miller, of Centerville, IN; great-grandchildren, Mason, Lucas, Abby, Mac, Jack, Dustin, Tyler, Kaila, Zoe, Bryson, Lily, August and Maxwell. Arlene is survived by two sister in laws, Ruth Dutcher and Ruth Keller, both of PA.

Preceded in death were husband, Dr. James E. Seitz; granddaughters, Carmen D. Campbell and Layla D. Michalik; and grandson, Joshua N. Yaklich.

Arlene loved the worldwide body of Christ and requested in lieu of flowers that any contributions be made to The Voice of the Martyrs for their “Bibles Unbound” at: P. O. Box 443, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74005.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Lane Park for their excellent and compassionate care of their beloved mother. They also wish to thank Heartland Hospice and Wilson Hospice for their care.

Arlene’s Life Celebration will be held at Connection Point Church of God, 1510 Campbell Road, Sidney, on Friday, August 7, 2015, at 12 noon, with Pastor Steve Carney officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM-12 PM. Celebration and dinner to follow.

She was so much loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed, and in her own words, “Hasta La Vista.”

There will be a private family burial.
