Marilyn Joan Thompson, 77, of Piqua, died at 7:17 pm Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Hospice of Miami County Unit of Upper Valley Medical center. She was born January 21, 1939 in Piqua to the late Donald C. and Coilah M. (Wick) Thompson.
Survivors include a brother, Donald L. (Marilyn) Thompson of Houston; a nephew, Jason (Sarah) Thompson; a niece, Kimberly (Jeff) Ruddell; a great niece, Alana Thompson; a great nephew, Elias Thompson; and numerous other relatives.
Marilyn was a 1957 graduate of Houston High School. She was a wonderful homemaker as well as childcare provider with her mother in their home. She was a lifelong member of Houston Congregational Christian Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible as well as books of fiction, playing hymns on the organ, bird watching and spending time with her family and friends.
A service to honor her life will begin at 11 am Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Houston Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Krista Geise officiating. Burial will follow at Houston Cemetery.
