William Albert Apple, 59, of Detroit, Mich., passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007, at the Botsford General Hospital.

Bill was born in Highland Park, Mich. on Feb. 6, 1948, to the late Edgar William and Julie Katherine (Ferris) Apple.

He was preceded in death by his parents; half sister, Mabel Apple; and niece, Karen Ingle.

Bill is survived by his two half-sisters and their spouses, Miriam and Scott Ingle and Patricia "Pat" and Jack Besecker, all of Covington; half-brother and his spouse, Richard Wallace and Genie Apple of Seminole, Fla.; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Bill was a graduate of Bentley High School in Lavonia, Mich., and attended School Craft College in Lavonia, Mich. He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as an electrician with a contracting company with 12 years of service. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post 232, Dearborn Heights, Mich.; past member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Post 259, Taylor, Mich.; member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association 74189 Arkansas; had associations with the Prayer Baptist Church, Westland Mich,; Victory Baptist Church, Farmington Hills, Mich., and Christ Church of Redford, Mich.

Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Houston Cemetery, with the Rev. Dan Poole officiating
